“I thought I’d share a few getting to Cannes tips. One note for newbies, you will always find another attendee on your flight or at the carousel if you chose to buddy up.
Uber is cheaper than a taxi, generally costing 65euros to central Cannes from Nice.
Uber Van fits six people and five suitcases, costing 100 euros to central Cannes.
Taxis charge 80 euros as a fixed price. As a side note, if you do not speak French, they will try to charge a supplement for tolls, 3 euros for bags and may simply turn off the meter. For instance, my mother paid 150 euros.
The 210 bus takes 75 minutes to reach the city, costing 2 euros for the ride.
The Cannes Shuttle leaves every 30 minutes, reaching the city in 45 minutes. It will drop you at the Town Hall. From there, you can reach your place of stay.
The train remains a choice due to the several advantages it offers. It is within a 5-minute walk from the terminal. After a 20-minute ride, you will reach the city without having to worry about traffic jams. The drop off station is in the center of Cannes, allowing you to easily reach your destination.”
Thank you Heidi Wittbold for these insightful advices. We hope they will help attendees plan their trip to the festival.
